Rad5 Media Proudly Sponsors Jam for Justice for the Second Year Supporting Equal Access to Justice in New Mexico
Rad5 Media was proud to once again support Jam for Justice, one of New Mexico’s most inspiring community events benefiting Equal Access to Justice (EAJ). This marks the second consecutive year Rad5 Media has participated as a sponsor and event photographer, helping document an evening filled with music, community, and purpose.
Hosted annually in Albuquerque, Jam for Justice brings together attorneys, advocates, musicians, and community members who share a common goal: ensuring that every New Mexican has access to civil legal help when they need it most.
Equal Access to Justice is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1988 by attorneys who recognized a critical gap in the legal system. Many New Mexicans facing serious civil legal issues simply could not afford representation. Over the past 35 years, the organization has raised and distributed more than $4.6 million to civil legal service providers working across the state.
Those funds support three essential organizations:
New Mexico Legal Aid
DNA – People’s Legal Services
New Mexico Center on Law and Poverty
Together, these groups help individuals and families navigate issues such as housing rights, domestic violence protection, consumer advocacy, public benefits, health care access, and protection of tribal land and water rights.
A Night of Music and Community
Jam for Justice stands out as one of the most engaging fundraising events in the state’s legal community. The event blends live music, community connection, and philanthropy to support legal services for people who might otherwise go without representation.
“Having done this two years in a row, we really look forward to the music and the atmosphere,” said Mike Radigan, owner of Rad5 Media. “It’s just such a fun event for a good cause. The energy in the room is incredible, and it’s inspiring to see so many people come together to support access to justice in New Mexico.”
Rad5 Media documented the evening through photography, capturing the performances, attendees, and the spirit of the event as supporters gathered to raise awareness and funding for civil legal services.
Why Equal Access to Justice Matters
New Mexico continues to face one of the highest poverty rates in the United States, and the need for civil legal services remains significant. Studies show that three out of four low-income households in New Mexico experience civil legal issues, often involving housing stability, safety from abuse, access to medical care, or recovery of earned wages.
Unfortunately, the demand for legal assistance still far exceeds the available resources.
Organizations supported by Equal Access to Justice help bridge that gap—ensuring that families can stay in their homes, workers receive the pay they’ve earned, children access educational opportunities, and vulnerable individuals receive the protections they deserve.
